I'm working on a short visual novel project right now, but I'm running into a really big problem- dialogue.
I'm really bad at coming up with dialogue that makes sense helps move the story along.. any tips? any are appreciated, you don't have to be an expert :']]c
@galacticrowan It may sound easier than it might be. ;3
If you want the story to go into a certain direction yo have to either take that into account and "massage events" beforehand to follow the narrative you had in mind 'or' you need to change the story you had in mind originally because the characters just won't cooperate. Stubborn bastards... ;)

As a tabletalk Storyteller, I'd say: Focus on what motivates your characters, who they are deep inside, their relationship so far, and what happened "recently". If you can imagine the characters as living, feeling, and thinking people in a situation, the dialogue will write itself.
